T&D have supplied 3M Scotchcast Resin Cable Joints utilising Scotchcast 1402FR resin to joint Prysmian FP600S cables at the Birmingahm New Street Development Project for Network Rail.

The 3M Scotchcast Resin Joints LVI3/8 were supplied to cable joint Prysmian FP600S 4 core 300sqmm cables - the cable joints were supplied complete with mechanical shearbolt connectors to enable fast and easier cable jointing of sectoral conductors without resort to crimping tools and die sets.

3M Resin Kits LVI-3/x Series is an inline joint kit with resin 1402FR for hazardous areas and are designed to be used for multi-core, armoured polymeric, low voltage energy cables. The joints also accommodate lead sheathed cable, and transition to PILC Cable. The LVI-3 joints can be used for indoor and outdoor, underground and submerged applications.

• Resin 1402FR in transparent two chamber bags with integrated Closed Mix system and an opener for easy opening and pouring
• Two part Mould Body with Snap Fit closing system for quick and easy handling
• Transparent flame retardant Mould Body for easy control of connector distances
• Flame retardant according to UL94 V0
• Chemical resistant, especially against hydro carbons
• Spacer web to ensure the distance between connectors and the Mould Body
• Closure cap to prevent any pollution
