Pfisterer Phase Comparators

 

Testing for an in-phase condition in three-phase networks is just as important safetywise as testing for absence of voltage. So operating errors must be eliminated as far as possible. That's why Pfisterer developed the single-pole phase comparator, which, in contrast to the double-pole version, is much simpler and so safer to operate.

The Pfisterer range of phase comparators are used for medium-high voltage installations and are used to check the phase coincidence in three-phase networks. Single-pole phase comparators (SPPC) are of the same construction as the Pfisterer range of voltage detectors which ensures a high level of both safety and reliability.

Phase comparison takes place using a single-pole phase comparator (SPPC) and contact being made between both conductors one after the other. Pfisterer SPPC single-pole phase comparator is designed to meet international standard IEC 61481.

Pfisterer Single-Pole Phase Comparators SPPC Technical Description

• Available for nominal voltages and nominal voltage ranges from 3 to 36 kV
• Can be used with a rated frequency of 50 Hz
• For reliable phase comparison, a rated frequency between 49.9 and 50.1 Hz is required, with a maximum frequency drift of 10 mHz/s
• Self-test feature
• Automatic switch-off
• Green, red and yellow LED display
• Removable contact electrode top piece, as forked electrode
