Power Distribution & Feeder Pillars

Today, Thorne & Derrick supplied a British Gas site in Solihull with a size 14 double door heavy duty Lucy Zodion feeder pillar.

The feeder pillar was selected from the Lucy Fortress galvanised steel range and 5mm in thickness.

Standard feeder pillars are 3mm thick, 5mm pillars are very robust and preferred for maximum impact resistance, security and vandal deterrence.

The feeder pillar will be painted grey, delivered complete with root section, 18mm plywood backboard, internal cable gland plate, infill panel and yale lock.

Lucy Lighting Fortress Double Door Feeder Pillars are robust pillars providing low voltage electricity distribution for a variety of applications.

The feeder pillars incorporate a high level of corrosion resistance to ensure durability and a long maintenance free life.

• Three vandal resistant fully flush hinges per door
• Two Lucy wedge locks fitted as standard
• Backboard made from 18mm treated exterior grade plywood
• Detachable roof with lifting hooks on pillar body
• ‘Danger’ warning label fitted in door recess
• Detachable root section finished in bitumen enriched paint
• Earth lead between pillar body and door
• High quality UV resistant paint to an average thickness of 60 microns
• Door seal to IP65
