Ellis Patents Stainless Steel Cable Cleats

 

Ellis Patents Emperor cleats specified for installation on two oil platforms currently being built for use in the oil field off the coast of Brazil.

The two platforms, Petrobras P-59 and P-60, are self-elevating drilling rigs that are capable of drilling under conditions of high pressure and high temperature. The Emperor cable cleats were specified through the Ellis Patents Brazilian distributor and were selected because of their high fault level capability.

Ellis Patents export sales manager, Tony Conroy, said: “Safety is paramount in any electrical installation, but when the installation in question is going to operate in some of the harshest environments and dangerous conditions in the world it is absolutely vital that every step is taken to safeguard against any potential problems.”
 
“Our Emperor cleats are specifically designed for this kind of project and have been fully tested so that those installing them can do so with the knowledge that the cables they are being used to restrain will remain safely restrained during any short circuit situation.”

Ellis Patents Emperor range is easily installed and provide protection in the harshest environments. The Emperor cleat is made using Type 316L stainless steel and available in multiple sizes to suit trefoil or single cables.

The cable cleat also has an integral Low Smoke and Fume Polymeric liner and base pad to protect the cables during short circuit conditions.
