Hazardous Area Electrical Equipment

The Abtech SX range of stainless steel enclosures and junction boxes were specifically designed to meet the rigors of the North Sea. SX hazardous area electrical enclosures have passed the Shell/ERA deluge test, devised to test enclosures and electrical equipment that is routinely subjected to ships decks conditions or fire deluge systems.

The Abtech SX range of stainless steel enclosures and junction boxes includes 14 sizes manufactured in either 316 stainless steel or mild steel and are available in standard depths of 140, 200 or 300mm. The Abtech SX rang can also be fitted with removable gland plates and client approved terminals.

Abtech SX Stainless Steel Enclosures and Junction Boxes Features:

  • Wide operating temperature (-70 to +175 degrees Celsius)
  • Ingress protection to IP68 (submersible to 120ft)
  • Fire resistant to IEC331
  • Corrosion resistant, Hazardous area approved

Abtech SX enclosures and junction boxes carry global hazardous area certifications - ATEX EEx'e' to BSEN50019 (Zone 1 & 2), EEX'nA' to BSEN50021 (Zone 2), NEMA 4X (CSA, UL & FM Class 1 Div 2) and GOST.
