Feeder Pillars
Ritherdon feeder pillars, made from 304 grade stainless steel, are used to provide low voltage power control, monitoring and distribution in the rail and tram system.
Ritherdon feeder pillars are designed with an integral root, body and detachable door for electrical maintenance - 2mm thick stainless steel feeder pillars provide high levels of strength, durability and corrosion resistance.
Underground cable ducting is accessible via the front section of the feeder pillar and duct apertures in the sides and back of the root. An earth cable allows for safe bonding of the door to the feeder pillar body with two M6 studs complete with nuts and washers.
