Pulling Cable In The Right Direction - SEB International TCW 3000 3T Cable Pulling Winches

T&D distribute the complete range of SEB Cable Pulling and Cable Laying Equipment for low and high voltage (LV-HV) power cable installations into underground trench or cable duct - this now includes the new SEB TCW 3000 3T Line Pull Cable Pulling Winch.

Manufactured in Nottingham by SEB in Great Britain and approved for use by the Ministry Of Defence (MOD) and British Telecom (BT). SEB TCW3000 cable pulling winch is designed to pull light/medium power cables. Designed with ease of use and maintenance in mind, the TCW3000 cable winch will provide years of service and be an excellent addition to any fleet of utility plant equipment.

What Is The Cable Winch Made Of?

Manufactured from high quality steel, the SEB TCW3000 has 5 key components:

  1. Basic Frame

  2. Canopy

  3. Drive Engine

  4. Drive System

  5. Electronic Display

1. The basic frame of the TCW3000 cable winch is constructed from high quality steel and has been designed to enable the cable puller to safely offload the winch from whichever mode of transportation the winch has been put onto. This ease of use is facilitated by the strategically position lifting hooks that have been welded on the winch. In addition, there are relevant points installed for holding the cable trailer down when in use or in transit.

2. Made from 3mm pressed steel, the SEB TCW3000 canopy is robust and also has extremely effective sound reducing qualities. The canopy also ensures that all moving parts are enclosed and concealed from the operator. The design of the canopy also allows the operator to carry out services or repairs by the use of one canopy lifting point.

3. The drive engine in the SEB TCW3000 cable winch is comprised of a twin cylinder Lombardini diesel engine. This is water cooled and has a key start operation. The cable winch comes with a mechanical fuel pump, a torque regulator. Producing 57Nm of torque and with a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres, the SEB TCW3000 will provide the required power for a sustained period of time.

4. Two hydraulically independent driven, twin grooved capstans comprise the SEB TCW3000 drive system. These provide safe passage for the rope onto the hydraulically drive storage drum via the layering arm system. The power for the hydraulics on the capstans is provided by the world renowned White Hydraulic Motor which has an excellent reliability record coupled with the required power for the hydraulics.

5. The SEB TCW3000 cable pulling winch comes fitted with an electronic display as standard. This display allows the operator to view the line pull and meterage at any point during usage. The electronic display also gives the option to set the maximum line pull.

Optional Extras

The SEB TCW3000 Cable Pulling Winch comes with a range of optional extras and items that may be required for use. An electronic reader with digital printout combines a high level of technical specifications whilst being easy to operate. The reader is designed to stop winching operations if a pre-selected cable pulling tension is achieved. This is to prevent any potential cable damage occuring during the cable pull. The print-outs show time, cable pulling tension and distance and this information may be downloaded via a PC if required.
