Take A Look Inside 3M Scotchcast Cable Joints

Hazardous Area Cable Joints. This T&D Video snippet enables the cable jointer to view inside the 3M Scotchcast range of LVI3 type resin joints suitable for Hazardous Areas. The resin is encapsulated in the cable joint shell (Scotchcast 1402FR) and the cable joint features electrical continuity across the joint (copper stocking), core spiral separators and tapes for insulation, moisture ingress protection and sealing of the cable ends. 3M constant force springs are used to bond/ground the earth continuity stocking for either armoured (SWA) and braided (GSWB) cables.
