Video Tutorial - Flexible High Voltage 25kV Cable Repairs Mining & Substation Cables

HV High Voltage Cable Repairs.

The featured video from ATI details the processes involved with cable splicing and jointing a flexible 25kV portable substation cable.

The mining facility had high voltage cables vandalised and stolen leaving 3 reasonable cable lengths. 25kV high voltage cables were spliced together using a silver weld process that allows for cable flexing while providing superior strength.

Heat shrink wrap-around cable sheath repair kits improve the electrical and mechanical condition of all LV-HV cable networks - including oil, fire, accidental and general service damage to all high voltage single, multi-core and triplex power cables, 11kV-33kV.

Heat shrink cable repair sleeves are quick to install to re-instate damaged cable sheaths to all HV cables without having to take the circuit out of service - simply wraparound the heat shrink cable repair kit onto the damaged high voltage cable and retain in position with the fixing channel and sleeve, then finally apply heat to the heat shrink sleeve to shrink down onto and repair the damaged cable.
