Introducing Tab EX-01 the world´s first Zone 1/21 & DIV 1 hazardous area tablet computer based on Samsung GALAXY Tab Active from ecom, global market leader in the manufacture of mobile communication equipment (phones, tablets and laptops).

The ecom Tab Ex-01 Hazardous Area Tablet was shown to the public for the first time at the Offshore Europe 2015 Conference - the world's largest technical conference and exhibition for the offshore exploration and petroleum industry.

Since then, the hazardous area tablet has secured site standard specifications at many major oil and gas companies for improving mobile communications in hazardous areas.

The revolutionary ecom Tab-Ex 01 is set to truly change the offshore oil and gas industry by providing a wide range of previously unattainable applications directly into Zone 1 hazardous areas.

Contact T&D for information, demonstration or technical advice on ecom Tab-Ex 01 - we have a dedicated, trained and CompEx certified team of sales engineers to support the specification and supply of Hazardous Area Electrical, Mechanical, Process & Instrumentation Equipment.

Managing Director of ecom Instruments, Carl Henderson, commented:

"Offshore Europe has been a great show and it was fantastic to get the Tab-Ex® 01 into the hands of visitors and show them how it can be used to improve their daily work. We always enjoy the opportunity to show off our latest products to the people who will be using them and this year was particularly exciting as we were able to present the next generation of ATEX certified devices".

In addition to the range of products demonstrated by ecom, visitors were also able to learn about the ecom Lone Worker concept (LWC) which brings together devices in order to transform the way an engineer or technician completes their work in hazardous areas.

The LWC concept consists of a series of devices that can communicate with each other which enables engineers to complete a wider range of tasks while out on site.

The full compliment of ecom hazardous area communications equipment enables communication and un-interrupted work to be carried out in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.
