Water Tight & Gas Tight Sealing for Cable Ducts

CSD RISE Duct Seal System

 

T&D have supplied McNicholas plc with CSD RISE Cable Duct Seals to provide gas and watertight sealing to 100mm diameter high voltage cable ducts at Roos Windfarm, Hull UK.

Roos Wind Farm lies between the villages of Roos and Burton Pidsea in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It comprises nine turnines, with associated infrastructure such as access tracks, meterological mast and control room.

Roos Wind Farm is fully operational and can generate up to 17.1 megawatts of renewable electricity, which is roughly equivalent to the average annual consumption of 11% of all the homes in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

CSD RISE Duct Seal is a multi-cable and pipe transit sealing system for cable ducts and building entries. The RISE duct sealing provides protection against flood and gas ingress, a fire rated version is also available which provides up to 4 hours of fire protection.

CSD RISE cable duct system consists of only two components: 

1. RISE rubber insert sleeves, used to guarantee cable separation and as a backing for the sealant layer
2. FIWA sealant, a high quality silicone based, fire stopping, water repellent sealant which consequently makes the system fast and simple to install.
