CSD RISE Duct Seal - Diesel & Transformer Oil Resistant

The CSD RISE cable duct seal system is used when sealing open cable ducts to protect against water and gas ingress, rodents and other foreign bodies from entering the duct and compromising the integrity of the cables.

In addition the RISE sealing system protects against oil and diesel. 

During the oil resistance test carried out on the CSD RISE duct sealing system, the product performed well with the following results. 

• Petrol = 92% swelling after 30 days
• Diesel = 27% swelling after 30 days 

The results of this test were that the surface of the FIWA was not damaged through exposure to either petrol or diesel. 

FIWA - Silicone Elastomer

FIWA is the silicone sealing putty used in the CSD RISE cable duct sealing system. Once the duct has been cleaned and the cable inserts installed, the FIWA silicone putty is applied to effectively seal the duct. This is then smoothed over and checked to ensure a complete water and oil tight seal.
