Cresatech CuTS - Monitoring Larger Sites Such As Substations

The Cresatech CuTS system is installed to monitor metallic infrastructure and look for changes due to cutting/removal, degradation and damage. The system is powered by site battery or an AC mains wall adaptor for 12V dc.

One key application for the CuTS technology is to monitor large sits such as electrical substations and infrastructure where grounding is extensive in both area and complexity - installation of CuTS does not disrupt service.

When installing the CuTS systems into larger systems it is important that the site be split up into 'zones' and each zone is individually monitored to fully enable detection of metal removal from all sites.

The CuTS ZM unit comprises a backplane into which up to eight CuTS zone cards can be inserted with each card exactly the same as for the ZS.

Each card registers itself when inserted and then powers up and goes through a self check process. The cards can then be configured using the CuTS management interface.

Every monitoring zone card can be set to auto tune or ran through a custom set up process where any required filtering and sensitivity for that zone can be added.
