CATU Electrical Safety Equipment
CATU CL-8-36 Two Pole Phase Comparator
CATU Detex CL-8-36 Two Pole Phase Comparator detects voltage differences between any two points of an electrical installation indicated by LED's.
The CATU CL-8-36 also enables the assessment of the order of the residual current induced by nearby live lines, live cables or circuits. This differentiates voltages from the one provided directly from a high voltage source. CATU Detex CL-8-36 phase comparators functions over 2-33/36kV voltages with assembled length of 1.25 metres.
Unlike single core voltage testers, dual core (two pole) testers can recognise potential voltage differences between any two points in a high voltage installation. Primarily reserved for conductors of the same phase (matching), CATU detectors can also be used for dual core detection and for testing high voltage fuses.
