T&D have supplied 15 sets of SEB HJ6 Hydraulic Cable Drum Lifting Jacks to the Scottish Power Development Training Centre at Cumbernauld, Scotland.

The Scottish Power Training Centre hosts an ongoing programme of LV-HV training courses for cable jointers and overhead linesmen with topics including:

• High Voltage Electrical Safety
• Cable Avoidance - Cat & Jenny

The cable drum jacks are to be used for lifting low voltage and high voltage cable drums to enable the Scottish Power Training Centre to carry out cable jointer training.   

SEB lightweight hydraulic drum jacks are versatile and easily adjustable with fitted wheels so the drum can be easily moved by one person.
