3M Temflex Rubber Splicing Tape 2155 is an economical low voltage rubber vinyl insulating tape that is self-fusing. 3M Temflex Rubber Splicing Tape 2155 is used for insulating wire splices, split bolt connections and motor leads up to 600V.

3M also offer a 3M Temflex 1700 general purpose vinyl insulating electrical tape.

Applications
  • Insulate electrical connections up to 600 V
  • Seal out moisture from low-voltage connections

Specifications
  • 3M Temflex 2155 tape must be rubber based and capable of operating at temperatures up to 80°C
  • The tape must not split or crack when exposed to normal operating temperatures
  • The tape must be compatible with synthetic cable and wire insulations
  • The tape shall not be corrosive to aluminum, or copper conductors
  • The tape shall be 30 mils thick and comply with the requirements of UL 510 for rubber insulating tape
