3M Scotch Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 consists of Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) backing coated with a strong, temperature-stable mastic adhesive. Use 3M Scotch 2228 to insulate, pad, and seal bus bar and splice connections. Temperature-rated at 194° Celsius.

3M Scotch Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 is a 1.65mm thick, conformable self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape. 3M Scotch 2228 is designed for electrical insulating and moisture sealing applications. Suitable for cable and wire connections rated up to 1000 volts and bus bar connections rated up to 33kV-35kV.
