11kV Heat Shrink Cable Joints For XLPE & PILC Cables, Transition Cable Joints

11kV High Voltage Heat Shrink Cable Joints & Cable Termination for PILC Cables.

Today a customer email enquiry urgently required immediate support...... "Diameter of PILC cable looks to be 1” which equates to 490mm so we will need cable joints to suit 19 x 500sqmm PILC/PVC aluminium to 240mm, XLPE/AWA/PVC, 11kV inline transition joints c/w mechanical connectors. Ideally cable joints are needed for Friday or essentially for Monday next week. These are single core cable joints !" The 11kV high voltage PILC single core power cable is pictured opposite.

XLPE Cable : Cross-linked polyethylene, commonly abbreviated PEX or XLPE, is a form of polyethylene with cross-links

PILC Cable : Paper insulated lead covered

No problem, we can deliver overnight. The above high voltage cable jointing application required the HV jointer to connect a new installation of single core XLPE power cable onto sections of existing PILC cables feeding 11kV high voltage transformers. This is known as a Transition Cable Joint. T&D hold the largest UK stocks of high voltage heat shrink components to enable the kitting of 11kV cable joints and cable terminations - this includes thick walled heat shrink, anti-track heat shrink, stress control tubings, cable jointing shells, cable jointing mastics, cable jointing resins and mechanical shearbolt connectors and lugs.

T&D UK stock an extensive range of 6.6kV, 11kV and 33kV cable joints for straight, branch, pot-end and loop cable jointing of high voltage multi-core and single core cables - this includes resin joints, cold shrink joints and heat shrink cable joints.
