Marechal DB9 Disconnectable Motor Switches - 125 Amp, 30kW

The Marechal DB Decontactor for motors, pumps and highly inductive loads combines the functions of visible breaking motor switch and plug and socket outlet.

Marechal decontactor plugs and socket units have a direct impact on safety, cost and machine downtime.

Compliant with the machine Directive for power supply isolation allowing quick electrical equipment replacement.

Marechal DB9 typical applications - mobile motors, emergency installations, flexible production lines, testing benches for motors, fans, mobile conveyors, mixers and containers.

Operation of a Marechal Decontactor for Motors

The Marechal plug is positioned in the socket-outlet by pushing then twisting clockwise in much the same way as inserting an electric light bulb.

The Marechal plug is then in the rest position, circuit open - this is indicated by a "green" window located on the front of the Marechal socket-outlet.

At this stage, the plug can be locked onto the socket-outlet by means of a conventional lock-out. To close the electrical circuit, push the Marechal plug fully home, until it is held by the locking ring.

The window located on the front of the socket-outlet becomes "red". IP67 is achieved by turning the ring clockwise. To release the Marechal plug, simply turn the ring fully anticlockwise.

The circuit is opened and the plug returns to its parked position. To remove the plug from the socket-outlet, turn the plug from right to left. The lid can then be closed.

Turn the ring from left to right to achieve IP67 socket-outlet watertightness.

IP67 Watertightness - Dust-proof and protected against temporary water immersion.

Marechal DB9 Plug Assembly manufactured from metal with IP66/IP67 protection and 125amp current supply is configured using associated wall mounting socket, plug, wall box, outlet, inlet and handles.

A full range of boxes, sleeves, handles, adaptors and accessories can also be supplied. Marechal's DB range of plugs and sockets are suitable for rated currents from 40A up to 125A and rated powers from 7.5kW up to 45kW.
