1.0 EMTELLE PVC CABLE DUCT : POWER CABLE DUCTING GENERAL
1.1 Emtelle PVC cable duct is a solid wall pipe manufactured in accordance with relevant, internationally recognised quality standards under an ISO 9000/2000 quality system.
1.2 The application area covered within this document is PVC duct power cable ducting.
1.3 PVC cable duct size (power cable ducting) ranges from 42mm to 200mm OD and includes plain ended and interference fit socket joints or ring seal joints available in 110mm, 160mm and 200mm sizes.
1.4 PVC cable duct is supplied on non-returnable wooden U-frames. The pipe pallets are designed to be stored on even, stable ground, they must not be stored more than 3 pallets high.
1.5 The finished PVC duct (Power Ducting) shall be free from surface defects which are material to the pipes physical performance and colour is light stable in UK and Ireland for 6 months external storage unless otherwise agreed by customer specification.
1.6 The finished PVC duct shall be printed or labelled according to customer requirements and traceable to Emtelle’s ISO 9000: 2000 quality system.
2.0 EMTELLE PVC CABLE DUCT : POWER CABLE DUCTING RAW MATERIAL
2.1 PVC duct raw materials are uPVC resin and other additives suitable for the required properties of the finished product.
3.1 The PVC duct (power cable ducting) shall have dimensions (mm) as per table above, all testing is conducted at +20 degrees C.
3.2 PVC duct compression strength and impact strength test procedures are as specified in BS EN 50086-2-4.
4.0 EMTELLE PVC CABLE DUCT : POWER CABLE DUCTING PERFORMANCE
4.1 PVC duct power cable ducting systems comply with BS EN 50086/2/4, 250N, 450N or 750N Classifications.
4.2 PVC duct power cable ducting key physical measurements (table 4.2 on below PDF) have equal importance across application area.
5.0 EMTELLE PVC CABLE DUCT : POWER CABLE DUCTING MARKING
PVC cable duct systems will be marked with the relevant specification to give durable detail and traceability after installation.
