SEC & Transmission Grid

Please be informed that the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has implemented the first phase of restructuring for their activities effective 1st January 2012. The first milestone on this journey was the launching of the National Grid SA which is wholly owned by (SEC) and will be responsible for all operation & maintenance activities of the Transmission Grid within the Kingdom. The National Grid SA will be responsible for implementing projects concerning voltage below 230 KV, while SEC will continue to be responsible for projects of 230 KV and above.
