T&D have supplied over 300 heat shrink cable repair kits to enable RFOU and BFOU offshore cables to be repaired at Chirag Oil Project (COP) via their UK EPC contractor and distributor.

Heat shrink cable repair kits reinstate cable sheath integrity caused by oil mud, heat, mechanical and general electrical service damage in offshore cable installations.
 
Offshore shipwiring cable repair kits eradicate cable cracks, nicks and snags which impair the fire and insulation performance of low and high voltage power, control and instrumentation cables.

COP - On 9 March 2010, the Steering Committee for the development of the Azeri, Chirag and deepwater portion of the Gunashli (ACG) fields sanctioned investment in the new Chirag Oil Project (COP). The $6 billion development plan is the next major step in the ongoing development of the ACG field in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea.

The project is planned to increase oil production and recovery from the ACG field through a new offshore facility which is designed to fill a critical gap in the field infrastructure between the existing Deepwater Gunashli (DWG) and Chirag-1 platforms.
