The Benefits Of CSD RISE & RISE RAPID Cable Duct Seals.

CSD RISE duct seal system is a multi-cable and pipe transit sealing system providing a simple but effective solution for all water, gas and fire tight sealing of cable ducts.

Like Many Products, The Simplest Are The Most Effective - With 2 components, the CSD RISE Sealing System is not only very easy to install but also extremely effective.

Comprised of just two components, the CSD Rise Sealing System provides high elasticity and bonding strength which resists movement.  

Applications for CSD RISE & RISE RAPID Cable Duct Seals can vary from HV substations to LV power cable ducts. The T&D Flickr album demonstrates the various applications available. 

Shown to provide long term protection of at least 50 years – It is proven with age testing that the system will continue to perform without any reduction in performance throughout its lifetime. It is essential with any system that the system will perform and provide protection when needed.

Due to the high quality of the components used in the CSD RISE cable sealing system, it will not degrade. The rubber filler sleeves will not suffer any compression and will continue to provide support for any cables - including large and heavy cables and will also provide a sound backing to the highly flexible and high bonding sealant.

The CSD RISE system is the only cable sealing system available proven to provide these continued high levels of protection for a period of over 50 years, supported by age-testing documentation.

Whilst many of these tests exceed the requirements of these duct seal applications, it is the intention of CSD Sealing Systems to prove that the systems will consistently perform at higher levels ensuring protection no matter what the circumstances.

Will not degrade if exposed to solar radiation (sunlight), salt laden atmospheres, submerged in fuel and synthetic oils or exposed to various chemicals including methane, chlorine and hydrogen sulphide – The mechanical properties of the sealants have been tested and proven to provide continued protection when exposed to harsh environments or exposed to chemicals both in liquid and gas form. This is extremely important in any product that is required to provide long term protection.

Easy re-entry for adding, removing or replacing cables – The method for adding or replacing a cable in both the RISE and RISE RAPID system is essentially the same and is a very simple process. When adding a cable:

1. Remove a section of the sealant layer using a corer
2. Push the new cable through one of the existing filler sleeves
3. Apply the sealant around the new cable.

​There is no need to disassemble the entire RISE RAPID cable seal and it is easy to get the cable through one of the empty filler sleeves. This makes any future re-work fast, simple and cost effective which could offer a significant saving over the life of the seal.
