Cortem Lighting for Potentially Explosive Atmospheres
T&D have recently been involved in the supply of Cortem Hazardous Area Lighting to the Rolls Royce facility in Sunderland. Rolls Royce Sunderland is a centre of excellence for engine disk manufacturing including aero, marine and industrial Trent and EJ200 engines for the civil aerospace industry.
The Cortem EVF range of lights supplied are explosion-proof lighting fixtures built to CENELEC standards EN 60079-1: 2004, EN 60079-0: 2006, EN 61241-1: 2004, EN 61241-0: 2006 and European Directive 94/9/EC: 1994.

Cortem lighting can be installed indoors or outdoors in potentially hazardous atmospheres containing explosive or combustible gases and dusts - installed extensively throughout hazardous area Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22.
