Since 2002, Thorne & Derrick UK have serviced the North Sea oil and gas market for 3M with their range of Cold Shrink Cable Joints and Cable Terminations for offshore and marine shipwiring cables. 

Today, T&D have met an emergency demand for same day shipment to SLB Scotland to supply 3M Cold Shrink Terminations to terminate RMS Surface Cables, #1 AWG 3 core 42.5sqmm, unscreened 5kV. 3M cold shrink accessories including cold shrink tubes, cable end caps and cable abandonment are designed to make cable insulating, termination and abandonment as simple as possible.

 

3M Cold Shrink MV Terminations

3M cold shrink cable terminations are manufactured with a specially formulated silicone material and reduces the likelihood of tracking.  3M terminations are also UV stable and adverse to water (hydrophobic).

3M cold shrink medium voltage terminations are available for indoor and outdoor applications for single core and 3-core cables up to 46kV.
