Socomore Techlube HD does not contain any salt, detergent, paraffin or grease which can degrade cable jackets or cause hot spots on low and high voltage power cables. Techlube has passed compatibility testing with materials used in power cable accessories, cable joints and cable jackets : High Density Polyethylene, Linear Low Density Polyethylene, Natural Rubber, Chlorinated Polyethylene, Hypalon, Ethylene Propylene Rubber EPR, Cross Linked Polyethylene XLPE, Poly-Vinyl Chloride PVC, Neoprene.

Techlube chemistry will not degrade graphite coated Rail Power Cables.

The graphite is not on the outer cable jacket and the compatability tests done by Belcore are still relevant as the outer jackets are of the conventional materials tested by Belcore. The chemistry in Techlube is very benign and has little affect on most items including the hands. The product is not a cleaner and would not be expected to clean the graphite from the layer it is on even if exposed.
