Brass wiping glands are used to gland and mechanically earth the lead sheath (Pb) on medium-high voltage power cables. 

Brass wiping cones or wiping glands are earth glands used to plumb lead sheath cables, usually 11kV PILC.

The brass wiping gland kit includes : brass cone, bolt pack, heatshrink sleeve and jubilee clips for cable armour clamping.
