Kit Contents : Cold Shrink End Cap, Cold Shrink Pre Stretched Tube, Armour Continuity (Braided/Wire Armoured Cables) & Instructions.

Cable Abandonment Kits
Cable abandonment kits are used when cable is left underground but it is not intended to be left live. If by mistake it has power connected to it, the cable abandonment kit is designed to create a short circuit to earth so that it will trip out, thus it will render the circuit dead to enable the engineer or cable jointer to realise power was switched to it by mistake. In this design, there are no provisions for stress control systems and screening because it is just not meant to be left live.
