Cembre HT131-C hydraulic crimping tool is lightweight and compact for the crimping and compression of low and high voltage cable lugs, splices and connectors up to 400sqmm - the Cembre HT131C crimping tool is the first choice hydraulic compression tool favoured by the electrical contractor and cable jointer.
 
Cembre HT131C hydraulic crimping tool features spring loaded handles allowing the die sets to be advanced with one hand - the other hand free to position the connector prior to crimping. For ease of operation and comfort of the electrical engineer or cable jointer the Cembre HT131C crimp tool head can be fully rotated through 180 degrees.

Cembre HT131C hydraulic crimping tools feature built-in safety valves which by-pass the oil supply when the maximum pressure is reached.

Cembre HT131-UC hydraulic crimping tool is modified to accept die sets to perform "Deep Stepped Indent" system of crimping on aluminium cables.

Cembre HT131-C Hydraulic Crimping Tools - User Instructions

Cembre HT131-C tool is suitable for crimping electrical cable connectors, lugs and splices for conductors up to 400sqmm (800 MCM). Avoiding the Misuse Of Cembre HT131-C Crimping Tools.

• Select the appropriate die set for the connectors (crimp lugs or splices)
• Insert crimp die into upper seat of the HT131-C crimp tool head
• To ease die set entry keep die/head release pin depressed
• Insert the crimp die set on the seat on the head of the main ram until locked
• To ease die set entry keep die/ram release pin depressed
• Insert the conductor into the connector (crimp splice or cable lug)
• Position connector between crimp dies and ensure correct location of crimp
• Set crimp tool on release position by rotating main handle
• Open the moveable handle
• Rotate the main handle to the crimp tool operating position
• Operate moveable handle for lower crimp die advancement
• The first stage of crimping closes the dies onto the connector (lug or splice)
• Ensure crimp dies are positioned exactly on desired crimp point
• Continue operating the moveable handle
• Crimp tool will automatically change over to the high pressure stage
• Ram advances until the dies meet - continue pumping until "click" sound
• Maximum pressure valve has been activated
• Rotate tool handle to release position - close tool handles thoroughly
• The ram will retract therefore opening the crimp dies
• Retract ram keeping tool handles closed roating further to rest position
• The moveable handle will be locked - store crimpt tool in the case

Crimping Tool Tips & Notes : Never place the Cembre HT131-C crimping tool under pressure without inserting the die sets, as this could damage the head and ram of the tool.

Crimping Tool Maintenance : Dust, sand and dirt threaten the safe and reliable operation of all hydraulic crimping tools - after use the Cembre HT131-C should be cleaned with a clean cloth taking care to remove any residual especially close to pivots and movable parts. Air in the hydraulic circuit of the crimping tool may affect the performance causing no lower die advancement, slow advancement of the lower die or lower die pulsation. To purge air bubbles from the hydraulic circuit of the crimping tool, please refer to the Cembre HT131-C Manual download below.
