3M Scotchcast LV Inline Cable Joints

 

3M Scotchcast resin cable joint kits 91-NBA are designed to be used for cable jointing low voltage LV unarmoured single core and multi-core (2, 3, 4 and 5 core) cables.

3M Scotchcast resin cable joints incorporate electrical insulation and mechanical protection of unarmoured cable joints with compression or mechanical connectors.

3M Scotchcast unarmoured cable joints can be used for indoor and outdoor, underground and submerged applications.

Cable joints are also available for jointing unarmoured cables located in the Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas in the oil, gas and petrochem industries.

• 3M Scotchcast resin 470W in transparent two chamber bags with integrated 3M Closed Mixing and Pouring (CMP) cable jointing system
• One part translucent cable joint mould body with snap fit closing system for quick and easy handling by the LV cable jointers
• Pre cut foam sealing elements to provide reliable sealing to the cable joint mould body without tooling for all cable application diameter
• Closure cap to prevent any pollution

3M Scotchcast Inline Cable Joints 91-NBA with 470W Resin 

3M Scotchcast resin inline joint kit will be delivered with a one part translucent cable joint mould body for simple and easy handling.

Distances inside the cable joint body can be checked easily. All necessary cable jointing dimensions, including application range, cable preparation are given in the detailed instruction.

The two foam sealing elements can be adapted to the required cable diameter by removing the pre-cut adapter rings to enable effective cable jointing of low voltage LV unarmoured cables.

Scotchcast resin 470W is delivered in two chamber bag with integrated spout and aluminium guard bag for protection against humidity.

The re-openable seam and integrated spout with a membrane provides a Closed, Mixing and Pouring cable jointing system.

After the seam of the two chamber resin bag is opened, the cable jointing resin components can be mixed. To pour the resin into the cable joint mould body, the spout is connected with the dome by turning 180°. While turning, the membrane is cut open to pour the cable jointing resin.

The 3M Closed Mixing and Pouring System provides resin handling without any skin contact by low voltage cable jointers.

For protection against pollution, a closure cap is applied onto the dome. After curing, the remaining 3M Scotchcast resin in the bag can be disposed as house waste.
