ABB BPS fuse bases are suitable for all types of high power fuse links type DIN (fitted with a Ø45mm end contact). 

The fuse-bases type ABB BPS are intended for medium-voltage fuse links with or without striker. The ABB fuse base can be applied in cases where fuse links are used to protect MV-HV transformer circuits as well as motor circuits. By using these bases, the signaling circuits in the switching station can see that a particular fuse has blown. The fuse-bases are designed for indoor applications where temperate climate conditions exist. ABB BPS fise bases can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and this enables easy replacement of the medium voltage fuse link.

There are two types of ABB BPS fuse bases:

1. ABB Three Pole Fuse Base - this fuse bases is composed of two separated steel bars fitted with M10 ear thing terminals, and three fixed indoor resin post-insulators.

2. ABB Single Pole Fuse Base - this fuse base is manufactured in two basic version i.e. as one and two-piece devices. Two-piece bases con- sist of two steel bars fitted with M10 ear thing terminals. Indoor resin post-insulators are fixed to these bars.
