Conductor - Annealed stranded circular copper conductors

Insulation - Crosslinked polyethylene, XLPE

Lay up - Numbered white cores twisted in pairs (two pair type may be built up as a star quad). The pairs are twisted with different lay length to reduce mutual capacitance. One or more polyester tapes may be applied

Screen - Overall screen (polyester tape, tinned copper drain wire, metal coated polyester tape). A polyester tape is applied over the screen

Inner covering - Flame retardant halogen free thermoplastic compound, SHF1

Armour/screen - Tinned copper wire braid

Outer sheath - Flame retardant halogen free thermoplastic compound, SHF1
