Since those beginnings over 100 years ago, Thomas & Betts has continued to expand and today offers a wide range of cable and wire management products.

In 1958, Thomas & Betts invented the Ty-Rap brand of cable ties which would quickly become world renowned as the leading product for electrical cable fastening.

• Thomas & Betts Ty-Rap Cable Ties  with integral stainless steel locking heads, ensuring a strong, reliable and permanent cable support. Ty-Raps are suitable for industrial, hazardous area, construction and high voltage cable installations. Ty-Rap cable tie ranges are UV resistant, flame retardant, heat resistant, weatherproof, low and high temperature flexibility, radiation resistant (IEEE383), chemical resistant, low smoke and fume (LSF), low smoke zero halogen (LSOH), non-outgassing and metal detectable.

• Thomas & Betts Ty-Rap cable ties are available in a choice of materials : Polyamide 6.6, Polyamide 4.6, Polyamide 12, Polypropylene, ETFE Flouropolymer, ECTFE Flourpolymer, Acetal and Stainless Steel (304 and 316 grades). Thomas & Betts Ty-Rap cable ties have extensive approvals including Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyds Register of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, UL, VG and MIL.

• Thomas & Betts Ty-Met Stainless Steel Cable Ties are avaible in self-locking, ladder-type and standard releasable design. Ty-Met cable ties are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications with uncoated versions for high temperature environments. Ty-Met cable ties are available in 304 and 316 non-magnetic stainless steel, also available in a heavy-duty version, (12mm & 16mm of width), for extreme high-strength applications.

• Thomas & Betts Hazardous Area Equipment. The range of Thomas & Betts hazardous area equipment is specified to ATEX, IECEx, UL and CSA standards. The T&B hazardous area product range includes conduits and fittings, enclosures, lighting products and cable glands suitable for both Zone 1 and Zone 2 installation.
