Wolf Airlamps - Hazardous Area ATEX Zone 1 & Zone 2
Wolf ATEX Turbolites - A-TL Range
Hazardous Area Zone 1 & Zone 2
Airlamps
Wolf's ATEX Turbolites are high powered compressed air driven lamps which are ATEX certified for safe use in hazardous area Zones 1, 2, 21 & 22 and potentially explosive atmospheres where a T4 temperature class permits.
With a safety record of 75 years, Wolf Airlamps are one of the safest high power portable lamps for hazardous areas Zone 1 and Zone 2.
The new generation ATEX Wolf Safety Airlamp Turbolite meets EN 1127 – 'Explosion Prevention and Protection’ for Europe; and in the USA, FM Class 3600 ‘Electrical Equipment for use in Hazardous (Classified) Locations’.
The Wolf ATEX Turbolites provide illumination for shotblasting, cleaning and coating of storage tanks & vessels, pipeline and structural engineering applications and are a safer alternative to mains and low voltage lighting in potentially explosive atmospheres.
ATEX Turbolites are powered, purged, pressurised and cooled by compressed air controlled by an integral regulator which passes through the lamp head and drives the turbine wheel by means of three nozzle plates.
The turbine drives a magnet rotor within windings, generating the 24 Volt AC electrical supply which powers the 250 Watt halogen bulb.
The standard hazardous area Wolf Airlamp range consists of two models, both produced in high strength aluminium alloy.
The Wolf A–TL44A ‘Bay Light’ version provides a high level of all-round general illumination.
The Wolf A–TL45A ‘Floodlight’ version has a reflector head with a matt reflector giving a wide-angle diffused beam.
The ‘A’ suffix denotes ATEX lightweight aluminium airlamp models, reducing Wolf Turbolite Airlamp weight to approximately half that of the brass airlamps.
Alternative ‘B’ suffix Wolf Airlamp models A–TL44B and A–TL45B are also ATEX certified but with brass housings, usable in gassy mines.
All Wolf hazardous area airlamps are nickel plated to protect against corrosion and are supplied with a bridle and safety hook fitted.
T&D are Approved Distributors for the Wolf Lighting including handlamps, torches, headtorches and floodlights.
