Group 1 Mining Hazardous Area Torches

Wolf Hazardous Area and Explosion Proof Torches M10, M20, M40, M60 are all approved for Group 1 Mining Lighting applications.

Group 1 Mining Electrical Equipment is approved for use underground in mines susceptible to the hazard of fire damp (methane).

Fire damp is a flammable gas especially found in coal mines and can trigger underground explosions.

Wolf M10, M20, M40 and M40 explosion proof torches are in service throughout the global underground mining industry.

The M-10 Micro, M-40 and M-60 Mini torches use an LED light source and are approved for Category 1 equipment for use in Zones 0, 1 and 2 and the M-20 Mini torch uses a Xenon filament bulb and is approved as Category 2 equipment for use in Zones 1 and 2.
