The Seaward Halo Hook High Voltage Ammeter Halo has been designed for measuring current flow on overhead line systems up to 40 kV (line to earth).

The Seawards high voltage Halo Hook is encased in a moulded plastic housing and is fully screened against the effects of electrostatic fields.

The RMS reading digital display is mounted in the fibre glass tubing body of the high voltage ammeter instrument and has a measurement range of 0A - 2000A and is suitable for use on system voltages up to 36kV.

The Seaward Halo Hook high voltage ammeter is applied using appropriate insulated operating poles, which quickly and simply affix to the base of the high voltage instrument with a 'universal spline' attachment.

Hooking the Seaward Halo Hook around the conductor, the peak reading of the rms current can be stored on a large clear LCD display and retained until rest.

The Seaward Halo Hook high voltage ammeter has jaws which are large enough to accommodate up to 50mm conductors.
