Motorised Semi-Con URD Shield Removal​

Ripley WS 40 Motorised Semi-Con URD Shield Removal are used when splicing, jointing and terminating both HV and LV overhead power, transmission and distribution cables.

The WS 40 is used for the removal of bonded semi-con shield on 5-34.5kV cables with an outer diameter of 0.625-1.875in (15.88-47.63mm).

The WS 40 can shave semi-shields off from XLPE, polyethylene & EPR insulation.
