URD Insulation Chamfer Tools​

Ripley IC 1 & IC 2 URD Insulation Chamfer Tools are used when splicing, jointing and terminating both HV and LV overhead power, transmission and distribution cables.

The IC 1 and IC 2 create a 45º bevel approximately 0.125 in (3.17mm) long for 0.650-1.875 in (16.51-47.63) cable outer diameters and are perfect for premolded splices, elbows and terminators. 

The IC 1 and IC 2 chamfer 15 to 35kV cables and adjusts easily to fit different cable insulations including XLPE insulations. The complete operation takes 10 seconds or less and blades are recessed to prevent injury and blade damage.
