Adjustable Cable Jacket Slitter

Ripley AJS adjustable cable jacket slitter is used when splicing, jointing and terminating both HV and LV overhead power, transmission and distribution cables.

Ripley AJS is designed for longitudinal, circumferential (ringing), and mid-span splitting of corrugated aluminum or copper shield cables, medium-density polyethylene (MDPE), and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduits.

The adjustable jacket slitter has a very precise steel adjustable blade allowing slitting of covering of up to 1/4” (6.3mm) thick. In addition the blade is able to fully retract inside the bosy for storage.

The Ripley AJS has a lever that is also adjustable allowing the blade to dig-in in a mid-span application and the lever teeth are designed for soft and hard jacket/covering applications.
