A fully solid-state photocell, Lucy Zodion SS3 photocell employs a similar circuitry to the popular and extremely successful Lucy Zodion SS6 photocell. Lucy Zodion SS3 photocell, however, is among the first photocells manufactured by Zodion to incorporate the unique "DyeMatch" (Patent applied for) Filter System.

This system, developed by Lucy Zodion, involves the application of a filter medium to a photodiode sensor, which allows a close match to the photopic curve to be achieved. The result is a reduction in manufacturing costs and a corresponding price benefit for street lighting control.

Robust and proven circuitry, together with Zodion technology, ensures a long, accurate and trouble-free life for the Lucy Zodion SS3 photocell (PECU).
