Peelable Semi-Con Screen Removal Tools for HV Cables - Benefits

• The cable jointers tool is safe and easy to use and allows the HV jointer to strip the HV semi-conductive ("semi con") layer in different shapes : round stripping, longitudinal stripping and spiral stripping. To facilitate the different operations of positioning, stripping, rotating and removing, the stripping tool is provided with suitable holding points.

 

• The direction of the semi-con cutting blade can be adjusted also when the stop-clamp has already been fixed onto the high voltage cable.

 

• The incision depth can be adjusted from 0 to 0.9mm witn 0.1mm steps without the need for additional jointers tools.

 

33kV Jointing. Clean the surface of the XLPE insulation with a fresh cable cleaning wipe. Always move the cleaning wipe from the cable end toward the semi-conducting screen, so that any fine particles remain on the edge of the screen, not on the XLPE cable insulation.
