CSD RISE cable and pipe insert and filler sleeves are developed from fire resistant, halogen free rubber - when the RISE rubber sleeves are exposed to fire or temperatures in excess of 200 degrees Celsius the RISE sleeve expands five to ten times its original volume. During the expansion of the rubber a cabonised mass is formed - CSD RISE cable duct and pipe seals are Halogen Free (tested according to Naval Engineering Standard NES 713 : Issue 3). Furthermore the CSD RISE rubber sleeve has a Low Smoke Index (NES 711 : Issue 2 : 1981) and a very High Oxygen Index (ISO 4589-2 : 1996). The wall thicknesses of CSD RISE cable and pipe seals is so chosen to ensure adequate seperation of the cables.
