In regards to vermin, the CSD RISE cable duct seal system is currently used extensively across the water utility industry where the ingress of rats into cable duct has been a major issue. Thames Water found that when expanding foam was used this attracted rats who would gnaw at the foam and use this as bedding. Thames Water now specify CSD RISE cable duct seals across their network and have no problems of rat ingress in these sealed cable ducts. CSD RISE was also used across Heathrow Airport substations to prevent attacks by rabbits, again with great success.
