3M Scotch Mastic & Sealing Tapes - Scotchfil Putty 

3M Scotchfil Putty electrical insulation putty is a 3.175mm thick electrical grade compound in tape form.

UL certified as a cable joint insulation for electrical conductors at temperatures up to 80°C (176°F) when over wrapped with either 3M Scotch Super 33+ or 3M Super 88 vinyl electrical tape.

Applications for 3M Scotchfil Putty include insulating low voltage electrical connections up to 600 volt, void filling and building up cables during cable jointing, smoothing out busbar irregularities and moisture sealing multicore cable connections.

• Insulate low-voltage (600 volts and less) connections
• Build up cable splices and fill out voids in low voltage cable splices
• Round out high voltage connections to hwitchgear
• Smooth bus bar irregularities
• Create a resin dam in resin pressure splices
• Create a moisture seal at ground wire exit in high voltage cable splices
• Moisture seal multi conductor cable connections
