P&B Weir Portable Earthing Equipment and Kits have been developed to provide portable earthing on outdoor high voltage substations, overhead transmission lines and distribution lines during maintenance or erection.

P&B Weir Portable Earthing Kits have been designed to provide safe and secure earth clamping where connections are to be made to dirty or heavily oxidised high voltage copper/aluminium busbars, stubs or stranded conductors. 

P&B Weir clamps, operating poles, sockets and cables have safely withstood their respective mechanical type tests and short time current type tests as specified in relevant standards.

P&B Weir Electrical DLE Earthing Kits have been developed to meet the requirements of the DNO and electrical utilities.

P&B Weir Portable Earthing Kits meet the requirements of EA Technical Specification ESI43-81 to provide a lightweight temporary earthing assembly suitable to provide field portable earthing to 3 phase high voltage overhead lines up to 66kV.

Portable Earth Leads - flexible aluminium earth leads with approved compression terminations and support sleeves are used for interconnecting the conductor clamps and to provide the downlead for bolting to the earth rod or earth point.

Earth leads are multi-stranded from pure aluminium with an extruded PVC sheath, either clear or opaque "Arctic" orange grade to protect the earthing cable from damage.

The standard portable earth lead sizes are 50sq, 120sqmm and 150sqmm and are used according to the fault level of the high voltage cable or overhead line system.
