ABB HV Fuses - CXP Expulsion Fuse Type, ANSI Capacitor Fuses 9.7kV - 26.2kV

ABB CXP high voltage fuses are an expulsion type capacitor fuse link designed for outdoor use. ABB high voltage CXP fuses are available in 8kV, 15/20kV and 25kV voltage classes. The primary application for ABB CXP fuses is to fuse individual capacitor units in standard outdoor high voltage equipment. ABB CXP fuses have a parallel energy capability of 30,000 Joules. 

ABB CXP high voltage expulsion fuse links for capacitor fusing applications should only be used in following cases :
1) In all ungrounded wye applications
2) In all grounded wye applications where the capacitor units are connected in 2 or more series groups
3) In all grounded wye applications with 1 series group and the available fault current does not exceed the level indicated in the guide.

ABB CXP capacitor fuses (expulsion types) must be used with an ejector spring - the fuse ejector spring ejects the fuse links leader giving a positive indication of a high voltage blown fuse. CXP HV fuse links are available with to suit copper and aluminium bus applications.
