G83M (Trinidite MR3/A66) Hot Pour Compound

Superior Grade Hot Pour Compound

T&D distribute an extensive range of electrical switchgear and transformer oils for high voltage electrical equipment insulation, 11kV-33kV - this includes Guroflex oils, BICC oils and Trinidite hot pour compounds for filling high voltage switchgear and transformer termination boxes and busbar chambers.

G83M is ideally suited where brittleness and vibration damage is a consideration having good cohesion, elasticity and flexibility. G83M compound is designed to provide an oil resistant joint or box filling compound for PILC cables up to 33kV.

G83M (Trinidite MR3/A66) Hot Pour Compound requires heating prior to pouring and therefore protective clothing should be worn to prevent accidental skin burns - this should include gloves, boots, overalls and eye protection.

It is important that G83M (Trinidite MR3/A66) Hot Pour Compound be heated in a clean and dry compound bucket to prevent carbonised deposits being introduced from previous heating operations. Hot pour compounds will tend to contract on cooling and it is necessary for a "top-up" pouring to complete the operation.

Softening point 64-70 deg C
Pouring temperature range of 150-160 deg C.
Impulse voltage tested resulting in a Negative Impulse peak of 210kV peak at 21 deg C
