Heat Shrink Cable Joints ("Dry Joints") - Cable Joints Tested to BS6910

 

Heat shrink cable joints to suit BS5467 single core XLPE/AWA (aluminium wire armoured), earthing cables and shipwiring BS6883 EPR/GSWB (galvanised steel wire braided) cables - shipwiring cable joints are also available for LSF (low smoke and fume), LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) and fire resistant cable jointing applications.

Heat shrink cable joints are also available to joint unarmoured single core cables including 6181XY cables, double insulated cable (eg transformer tails), paper insulated lead sheathed (PILC) and split concentric cables to BS7870 - heat shrink cable joints are ideal for vertical installation.

Each SPS heat shrink joint includes adhesive lined heat shrink tubes, armour continuity and jointing instructions. Mechanical shearbolt connectors can be supplied to enable fast and simple jointing of cable conductors without resort to crimping tools and die sets. Heat shrink cable joints are also available for transition and trifurcating applications.

BS6883 - EPR Insulated Single Core Braided Shipwiring Cable 6sqmm-630sqmm. Marine and Offshore Cable. Tinned annealed stranded copper conductors, ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) insulated, low smoke, zero halogen (LSZH) bedding, tinned phosphur bronze braid armour, low smoke, zero halogen, (LSZH). SW4 outer sheath. Black. 600/100 volts grade to BS6883 and IEE92-3.

6491X (HO7V-R) - PVC Insulated Wiring 1.5sqmm-630sqmm. Fixed Wiring and Mains Cables. Stranded plain annealed compacted circular copper conductor, PVC outer sheath. 6491X Cable. Harmonised code HO7V-R. 450 volts grade to BS6004. Flame propagation to BS EN 50265.

6181Y - PVC Insulated PVC Sheathed Surface Wiring 1sqmm-120sqmm. Fixed Wiring and Mains Cables. Plain annnealed stranded circular copper conductor, single core, PVC insulated, PVC sheathed. 6181Y Cable. 300/500 volts grade to BS6004. Brown/Grey or Blue Grey. Flame propogation to BS EN 50265.

BS5467 - Mains Single Core, XLPE, PVC, Aluminium Wire Armoured, PVC, 50sqmm-1000sqmm. Fixed Wiring and Main Cables. Stranded plain annealed compacted circular copper conductor, XLPE insulated, PVC bedding, aluminium wire armoured, PVC outer sheath. Black. 600/1000 volts grade to BS5467. Flame propagation to BS EN 60332

Cathodic Protection Cable XLPE, PVC, and XLPE, PVC, SWA, PVC, Non-Armoured 6sqmm-185sqmm. Fixed Wiring and Mains Cables. Plain annealed compacted circular copper conductor, XLPE insulated, PVC outer sheath, 600/1000 volts grade generally to BS5467 & IEC 60502. Colours Black/Black or Red/Red.
