High Voltage Pencilling Tool

Ripley WS 17 high voltage pencilling tool is used when splicing, jointing and terminating both HV and LV overhead power, transmission and distribution cables.

Ripley WS 17 tool is for use with transmission and distribution cables and comes with a guarded cutting blade for safety assurance.  

The high voltage tool's pencilling operation takes less than five minutes and has fast and smooth tapers.

In addition, the Ripley WS 17 can expose conductor strand and shielding if required.

Ripley WS 17 High Voltage Pencilling Tool Specifications: 

• For use on 35 to 46 KV cables, 1/0 to 750MCM
• Insulation on cable end must be stripped prior to pencilling. Use Model WS 50, WS 57, WS 57A or WS 13B end strippers.
• Semi-con shield should also be removed prior to pencilling with WS 9A/9C, WS 40, WS 51, WS 51A or WS 57A
• Made in the U.S.A
