Brass Tunnel Connectors for Jointing Underground Power Cables

Brass tunnel connectors are suitable for underground cable jointing and connecting of solid circular aluminium or standed copper conductors, 4-120sqmm up to 1,000 volts.

Brass tunnel mechanical connectors are supplied with grub screws and Allen Keys for fast and simple cable conductor jointing with resort to crimping tools and die sets.

Brass tunnel connectors are available for straight and branch jointing of cable conductors up to 1,000 volts.

Tunnel connectors are used mainly at low voltage, especially for underground service cables. Brass tunnel connectors can also be used to connect the copper wire screens of 11kV and 33kV cable joints, including Triplex BS7870 utility cables.

Insulated tools are available for use with brass tunnel connectors to prevent cable jointers coming into contact with live services.

"J" type connectors are available where length constraints make it difficult to set the cable core onto the barrel connector, especially where paper cables are to be jointed.
